Hey Lee,
I wasn't sure if I was clear enough on the layers bit, and it does seem a little hard to explain. Once you know the basics about layers its probably best to just play around with them until you get comfortable with them.

Give me a holler if you run into any other questions about layers or anything else.

Thanks for listening

Kent,
i am a 13-year-old kid and I'm just learning to use Photoshop and I am really enjoying the show.
One thing I have all the time and I don't know how to deal with is people in my frames that I don't want there. Is there a way in Photoshop that I can take them out and fill in the background?

Hey Josh,
You should try playing around with the clone tool and the healing tool. They can both help take out unwanted subjects in an image. Just select the tool and option-click on a background source then paint over the object you want to remove. It can be fairly tricky to make it look good, but the more you practice the easier it gets.

I found this EPs tip on how to exclude a part of your image OK, but I think you ought to tell you listerners about using the pen tool for this. You get smother lines and it is much easier and more precise. This way if they are printing in large format then everything will look much more professional.

The Pen tool is in your tool box, make sure you are using it in "paths" mode. (Of course the user will have to know how to use the beziers curve(sp) but I am not going to explain that here) once you have outlined your image either press the apple key and click for your drop down menu on a mac, or on a PC right click, select "create vector mask" and viola!

keep the shows coming
