2 Minute Tricks # 17 – Guides and Updates

This week we take a quick look at guides and a very precise way of placing them in your image. We also will give you a quick update on the video version of the show and our new voice mail box.

Step-by-step Guide

Step 1: Open up an image in photoshop and go to the view menu. Select the new guide option from the menu.

Step 2: A new dialog box will pop open. Select either the horizontal or vertical option in the orientation section of the dialog box. Then type 50% (or whatever percent you would like) in the position box and click OK.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 for the other orientation, and you should end up with cross hair of guides directly in the middle of your image.
